Spicy Squid Fry

Squid – 2 lb
Onion(diced) - 1 no
Olive Oil - 2 tbsp
Green chillies - 2 nos
Ginger (minced) – 1 tsp
Garlic(minced) – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder – 2 tsp
Corriander powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala – 1 tsp
Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt - As reqd
Curry leaves - A few





Wash and Clean the squid, separating the outer sacs from the heads and tentacles, removing and discarding the translucent cartilage, and small sand bag and ink. Rub salt on the outer sacs and rinse them inside and out with cold water. Cut the sacs into 1/2-inch wide rounds.

Heat the oil in a frying pan and saute onions,green chillies.When the onions become light brown,slip in the squid rounds,chilli powder ,coriander and pepper,garam masala,curryleaves and salt. Cover and simmer until tender (approximately 30 minutes).
